UFC commentator and ex-middleweight champion Michael Bisping has given his prediction for the Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz boxing match taking place on August 5.

"The Count" took to his YouTube channel on August 3, predicting a decision victory for Stockton's Diaz, citing his durability and stamina as factors for a success:

"I think Jake Paul is gonna come in, he's gonna look very dangerous early --- I think he's gonna learn from the Tommy Fury fight --- ...He's gonna look better, it's only when you lose that you improve."

Bisping questioned Paul's ability to improve in such a short timeframe, remarking that he believes Paul's confidence will be "diminished," and that he doesn't have the power to knock Diaz out.

"The longer the fight goes, Nate Diaz starts to take control, he never gets tired, and I think Jake Paul gets defeated once again --- Nate Diaz gets the job done via decision."

Bisping went on to jest that Diaz would probably fail his post-fight drug test due to Marijuana being illegal in Texas.

Despite being a prominent MMA-Pundit, Bisping's prediction falls into the minority, atleast where the oddsmakers are concerned.

As per Oddschecker (subject to change), Paul is a 3/10 favorite to win the fight outright, with Diaz coming in as a 7/2 underdog. Bisping's prediction of a Diaz decision victory comes in at 17/2, which is heavily opposed to Diaz winning this way.

In fact, the oddsmakers are so heavily out of favor with Diaz, that he's got 100/1 odds of winning the fight in the first round.

It's a sentiment shared even by pro boxers. Carl Froch gave his own prediction in favor of Paul on his YouTube channel on July 27:

"I would expect Jake Paul to beat Nate Diaz in the boxing ring. On the street or in the cage, Jake Paul hasn’t got a chance, Nate Diaz would absolutely slaughter him.

"...It’s an interesting one, but I’ve got to make Jake Paul the favourite because I just think that a decent boxer beats a top MMA fighter in a boxing ring.”
