UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping has shared his honest assessment of Alex Pereira's victory over Jan Blachowicz.

Pereira vs. Blachowicz served as the co-main event of UFC 291 in Salt Lake City. "Poatan" moved up in weight after dropping the UFC Middleweight Championship to Israel Adesanya in their MMA rematch back in April.

Pereira emerged victorious over Blachowicz, but it was far from easy. He nabbed the split nod, and Blachowicz feels he was "robbed."

Michael Bisping posted a new video on his YouTube channel giving his reaction to Alex Pereira vs. Jan Blachowicz. "The Count" had an honest take on the performances of both men.

"I don't think it was the best performance from either man," Bisping said. "Not kicking them while they're down, certainly not. They were at elevation, they were tired, they were a little sluggish, they were a little sloppy. I say that with respect. Pereira didn't look as fast, didn't look as snappy. I wonder if that was the elevation or was it carrying all that extra weight? You just don't know. Maybe it was that, maybe he's not as efficient."

To Bisping's point, Blachowicz took Pereira down early in the fight and was looking for a rear-naked choke. From there, it appears high altitude was bothering Blachowicz, as he was breathing heavy and couldn't secure the takedown as effectively. This allowed Pereira, who also seemed impacted by the elevation, to have some good moments in the standup, even bloodying his opponent's nose a bit.

Ultimately, a late takedown in the final round wasn't enough for Blachowicz, although it likely would've been many years ago before a change was made on how judges are expected to view takedowns.
