UFC 300 Unconfirmed Fights

These are rumors that have been substantiated by fighters or officials.

Jim Miller vs. TBA

Update: Jim Miller will face Bobby Green at UFC 300

In a recent interview with TNT Sports, UFC CEO Dana White promised that UFC veteran Jim Miller would make an appearance at UFC 300, going as far as to pass the word on to matchmaker Sean Shelby to ensure it happens. Miller was present for UFC 100 & 200 and is currently booked for an Apex event on January 13.

Leon Edwards vs. Belal Muhammad 2

Appearing at Villa Park on December 30, welterweight champion Leon Edwards claimed that he would be defending his title at UFC 300. He didn't mention an opponent, but it would appear that Belal Muhammad is finally getting his shot.

Muhammad would later retweet pictures of himself at the airport headed for Dagestan in preparation for the rumored fight.

The rumors were further validated by Muhammad's manager Ali Abdelaziz.

Major UFC 300 Rumors

Alexa Grasso vs. Zhang Weili

(debunked now Weili is booked against Xiaonan)

Strawweight champion Zhang Weili and featherweight champion Alexa Grasso have indicated that they'd like a double-championship showdown at UFC 300.

Grasso shared screenshots of an interaction the two fighters had on December 19, wherein Weili calls for a fight at UFC 300, and Grasso accepts.

Tom Aspinall vs. Alex Pereira

Fans were left scrambling after cryptic messages from light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira indicated he could appear at UFC 300. Conclusions were made that he could be facing interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall when the Brit stoked the fire with his own post.

Both fighters shut down the rumor, however. "Poatan" dismissed his message as jargon in an interview with TheMacLife and Tom Aspinall claimed that Pereira was too busy defending his belt to consider a fight.

Israel Adesanya vs. The Winner of Dricus Du Plessis & Sean Strickland

Fighter-turned-MMA pundit Chael Sonnen estimates that UFC 297 was put together in a hurry so that the winner could face Adesanya in the main event of UFC 300.

The Return of Ronda Rousey or Brock Lesnar

White has denied rumors of Brock Lesnar or Ronda Rousey making a UFC return.

Ben Askren vs. Jorge Masvidal 2

(Possibly debunked now Masvidal is reportedly fighting Nate Diaz in a boxing match)

Ben Askren has remarked that he'd exit retirement to avenge the quickest knockout loss in UFC history. Jorge Masvidal claimed "unretired" in a Tweet around the same time.

The fight doesn't make logical sense and the two stories seem to be coincidental.
