One key fight has reportedly been added to the UFC 300 card.

UFC matchmakers have been hard at work on the historic event set for April 13. Thus far, a UFC Women's Strawweight Championship fight between titleholder Zhang Weili and Yan Xiaonan is official. Fight fans will also get to witness a BMF title showdown between Justin Gaethje and Max Holloway.

There are plenty of other high-profile fights set for the card. That includes a number one contender fight between lightweights Charles Oliveira and Arman Tsarukyan.

You can add another bout to the list.

UFC 300: Major Heavyweight Title Fight Falls Through, Says Tom Aspinall

Freak MMA reports that a featherweight collision between Sodiq Yusuff and Diego Lopes is on tap for UFC 300 inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

It's a huge opportunity for Lopes, as Yusuff holds the number 12 spot on the official UFC featherweight rankings. With a win, Lopes can make his debut in the rankings near the number 10 spot.

That may not be an easy task as Yusuff will be looking to rebound from a unanimous decision loss to Edson Barboza back in October 2023. The loss hurt Yusuff's stock, and he's hoping to get back on track and prove to everyone that he still has time to make a championship run.

Lopes aims to extend his winning streak to three. If he can get past Yusuff, he may find himself fighting top 10 opposition in the near future.
