UFC Fight Night Results & Highlights: Magomed Ankalaev Stuns Johnny Walker

The UFC kicked off its 2024 schedule with a Fight Night event headlined by top light heavyweight contenders at the UFC Apex facility.

The main event saw Magomed Ankalaev and Johnny Walker run things back after their prior meeting at UFC 294 ended in a No Contest. The bout had significant implications for the light heavyweight title picture, and Ankalaev put any discussion of their previous fight to rest when he brutally stopped Walker in the second round,
Report: Another Massive UFC 300 Fight Between Former Champions Set
The co-main event was supposed to feature another rematch between Manel Kape and Matheus Nicolau before that fight was scrapped on weigh-in day. The lightweight bout between Jim Miller and Gabriel Benítez was promoted to the co-main event as a result, and "A-10" scored a submission victory before he called for a spot on UFC 300.

Highlights from the rest of the main card also included Mario Bautista picking up his sixth-straight win against Ricky Simón and Brunno Ferreira stopping Phil Hawes in a middleweight bout. The prelim portion of the events also features four stoppages out of the six scheduled matchups.
