UFC: Sean Strickland Receives Searing Advice From Ian Garry On Mental Health

Garry isn't done poking at Strickland.

Ian Garry is not letting up on his beef with UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland.

Garry and Strickland have had some bad blood brewing ever since the 185-pound titleholder mentioned "The Future's" wife in a negative light publicly. Strickland was made aware of a book Garry's wife had published on how to be a WAG, which led to him making a video urging the rising welterweight to get out of his marriage.

It was then alleged by Strickland that Garry threatened a lawsuit for what he had said. Things escalated further after Garry and Strickland had to be separated at the UFC Performance Institute.

Garry has already taken the "eye for an eye" approach, mentioning Strickland's past childhood trauma. He doubled down in a new Instagram post, mocking Sean Strickland and urging him to seek help at the UFC PI.

"The UFC PI offer free mental health support for all UFC athletes," Garry wrote. "Many of us had no idea. Many of you might not have the courage to ask. The past is the past, don’t let it effect your Future & don’t project your pain."

Strickland's immediate focus will need to be on Dricus Du Plessis, and those two actually have gotten physical before their planned UFC 297 bout. It'll be Strickland's first UFC title defense, and it'll take place on January 20.

As for Ian Garry, he'll meet another fierce rival in Geoff Neal at UFC 298 on February 17. Many felt Garry crossed the line when he wore a shirt featuring a picture of Neal's mugshot.
