UFC Singapore Results & Highlights: Holloway Knocks Out The Korean Zombie

Two of the promotion's most popular fighters met in a pivotal featherweight main event.

Following a trip to Boston last weekend for UFC 292, the UFC made its return Singapore for a Fight Night event at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Max Holloway and The Korean Zombie. — (UFC)

The card’s main event featured former featherweight titleholder Max Holloway taking on "The Korean Zombie" Chang Sung Jung, who entered the matchup at #8 in the division's rankings. Jung appeared to rock Holloway early and left everything he had in the cage, but after being knocked out in the third round the South Korean decided it was time to retire.

The co-main event was matchup between light heavyweight contenders Anthony Smith and Ryan Spann, who previously met in 2021 in a fight that Smith won via rear naked choke. “Lionheart” sustained some serious damage to his eye that looked like it could end things in the second round, but the veteran soldiered on and managed to win a split decision.

The rest of the main card included top featherweight Giga Chikadze making a successful return to action with a decision win over Alex Caceres, as well as Erin Blanchfield besting former title challenger Taila Santos in a hard-fought women's flyweight bout.
