Myktybek Orolbai added another impressive knockout to his record when he floored Hayward Charles during their main card bout at LFA 170.

The Kyrgyzstani fighter and Charles featured as the co-main event of LFA 170, which took place in Valil, Colorado on October 27.

Charles was competing in the LFA for the first time since 2019, while Orolbai joined the promotion last year and had already picked up two victories. Unfortunately for “The Hybrid” his return to LFA ended early in the second round thanks to a brutal punch.

Orolbai backed Charles to the cage and had him swinging wildly just over 30 seconds into the second round. The Kyrgyzstani fighter took the chance to time a massive uppercut that went straight underneath Charles’ armpit, whipping his hair backwards and sending beads of sweat and spit into the stands. Charles folded, and fell face first into the canvas - completely lifeless.

The result spoiled any momentum that Charles hoped to establish after he had a successful return from a long layoff in January, where he pulled off a 38-second submission. “The Hybrid” made his pro debut in 2011 and has previously shared the cage with UFC veterans Ian Heinisch and Kevin Holland.

Now 3-0 since he joined the LFA, this was Orolbai’s second knockout in a row after he also finished Gláucio Eliziário earlier this year. Orolbai is on a six-fight win streak overall, and his only career loss came in a 2022 appearance with ACA Young Eagles.
