Jackson-Davis, who is represented by Excel Sports Management, was the 57th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, acquired by the Warriors from the Washington Wizard in a draft night trade that was orchestrated in advance.
The Warriors had a first-round grade on Jackson-Davis and when he slipped into the second round, they worked to find a spot to take him. They're thrilled to have him, glad to have a veteran rookie who has four years of high-level college basketball behind him at Indiana.
Jackson-Davis has been bothered by a mild hamstring injury since starting workouts with the Warriors this summer, and he's missed their first five games as a precaution. He's been going through practice all week here in Las Vegas, though, and is hoping to play on Thursday in the Warriors' final summer game. He sat out Wednesday's game with the Dallas Mavericks as well.
