UPDATE: Bradley Beal's Current Injury Status For Suns-Warriors Game
UPDATE: Bradley Beal has been ruled out for Tuesday's game.
Bradley Beal has been one of the best guards in the NBA for nearly a decade.
This summer, the three-time All-Star was traded from the Washington Wizards to the Phoenix Suns, and they will play their first game of the season on Tuesday evening against the Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center.
However, Beal is listed as questionable for the game, and Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium provided an update.
Via Charania: "Phoenix Suns star Bradley Beal is unlikely to play tonight in season opener vs. the Golden State Warriors, league sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Suns are taking a cautious approach with Beal’s back ailment to begin the new season."
Beal spent the first 11 seasons of his career with the Wizards, and this past year, he averaged 23.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 5.4 assists per contest while shooting 50.6% from the field and 36.5% from the three-point range in 50 games.
The Suns have one of the best rosters in the league with Beal, Kevin Durant and Devin Booker.
Therefore, it would not be a surprise for the Suns to be extremely patient to make sure he is fully healthy before returning to the court because they have an excellent chance to win the 2024 NBA Championship.
Last year, the Suns were the fourth seed in the Western Conference and lost to the Denver Nuggets in the second round of the NBA playoffs.
They have made the playoffs for three straight years (and the NBA Finals in 2021).
