BREAKING: Jimmy Butler's Final Injury Status For Knicks-Heat Game

Jimmy Butler has been upgraded to available for Game 3.

On Saturday afternoon, the Miami Heat will host the New York Knicks in Florida for Game 3 of their second-round playoff series.  

For the game, they will have their best player in the starting lineup, as Jimmy Butler has been upgraded to available. 

The six-time NBA All-Star missed Game 2 with an ankle injury, and the Heat lost 111-105.  

Via The Heat: "#NYKvsMIA INJURY UPDATE: Jimmy Butler (ankle) is available to play in today’s Game 3 vs the Knicks."

Butler has been excellent during the 2023 NBA Playoffs, with averages of 35.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.8 steals per contest while shooting 58.5% from the field and 42.9% from the three-point range.   

The first two games of the series were at Madison Square Garden in New York City and the Heat won Game 1 (while the Knicks won Game 2). 

Despite being the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference, the Heat are one of the best teams in the league and have been to the Conference Finals in two out of the previous three seasons. 

In the first round, they upset Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks (who were the first seed) in five games. 

At home, the Heat have been unbelievable, going 29-14 in the 43 games they have hosted in Miami, Florida. 

As for the Knicks, they beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round (in five games) and are an impressive 26-18 in 44 games on the road. 

The winner of the series will advance to the Conference Finals and face off against either the Boston Celtics or the Philadelphia 76ers.
