BREAKING: Joel Embiid's Final Injury Status For 76ers-Celtics Game /

On Tuesday evening, the Philadelphia 76ers will be in Massachusetts to face off against the Boston Celtics for Game 5 of their second-round playoff series.

For the game, they will have their best player in the starting lineup, as Joel Embiid has been upgraded to available.

The 2023 MVP missed Game 1 with a knee injury, but has returned and played in each of the last three games.

Via Underdog NBA: "Joel Embiid (knee) will start Tuesday."

The 76ers and Celtics are tied up at 2-2 after the 76ers won Game 4 in overtime by a score of 116-115 on Sunday.

Each team has gone 1-1 at home and 1-1 on the road.

Therefore, the 76ers will need to end the trend to avoid falling into a 3-2 hole.

Game 6 will be back in Philadelphia on Thursday evening, and if there is a Game 7, it will be on Sunday in Boston.

Embiid has led the 76ers to the NBA Playoffs in six out of his first seven seasons in the league.

That said, he has yet to make a deep run (and has never been out of the second round).

They are the third seed in the Eastern Conference and swept the Brooklyn Nets in the first round (the Celtics beat the Atlanta Hawks in six games).

The winner of the series will advance to the Eastern Conference Finals and face off against either the New York Knicks or the Miami Heat.

Last year, the Heat beat the 76ers in the second round.
