On Sunday evening, the Phoenix Suns will host the Denver Nuggets in Arizona for Game 4 of their second-round playoff series.

For the game, they will remain without their star point guard, as Chris Paul has been ruled out.

Via Underdog NBA: "Status alert: Chris Paul (groin) remains listed out for Sunday."

The future Hall of Famer got injured in the middle of Game 2 and did not return (and he was ruled out for Game 3).

On Tuesday, the Suns gave an official update on his status.

Via The Suns on May 2: "INJURY UPDATE: Further evaluation has confirmed that Chris Paul has sustained a left groin strain. He is considered day to day."

In Game 3, the Suns were able to win (without Paul) by a score of 121-114 to avoid falling into a 3-0 hole (the series is now 2-1 in favor of the Nuggets).

A victory in Game 4 would tie up the series and turn it into a best-of-three.

That said, a loss would give the Nuggets a commanding 3-1 lead going back to Denver for Game 5 on Tuesday evening.

While Paul is no longer the superstar he once was, he is still one of the best point guards (and leaders) in the NBA.

The 37-year-old has averages of 12.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, 7.4 assists and 1.7 steals per contest while shooting 41.8% from the field through his first seven games of the 2023 NBA Playoffs.

He is in his 18th season in the league (his third playing for the Suns) and helped the franchise make the NBA Finals in 2021.
