UPDATE: Jimmy Butler's Current Injury Status For Heat-Knicks Game
UPDATE: Jimmy Butler is available.
On Wednesday evening, the Miami Heat will be in New York City to face off with the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden for Game 5 of their second-round playoff series.
For the game, Jimmy Butler remains listed as questionable on the 3:30 Eastern Time injury report.
That said, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports that he will play in the game (h/t RotoWire).
Via Winderman: "The Knicks continue to list Immanuel Quickley (ankle) as doubtful for tonight's Game 5 and now have added Evan Fournier to their injury report as questionable due to illness. Heat listing Butler (ankle) as questionable, but he was at shootaround (and is playing)."
Butler missed Game 2 with an ankle injury but has been in the lineup for each of the last two games.
He is having a sensational postseason with averages of 33.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.6 steals per contest while shooting 56.1% from the field and 39.4% from the three-point range.
The Heat also have a 3-1 lead over the Knicks, so a victory would close out the series.
Despite being the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference, they are one of the best teams in the league and Butler has led them to the NBA Playoffs in all four of the seasons he has been with the franchise.
Whoever wins the series will advance to the Eastern Conference Finals and face off against either the Boston Celtics or the Philadelphia 76ers (the 76ers lead 3-2).
