Here's What Steve Kerr Said After The Warriors Lost Game 2
On Monday night, the Golden State Warriors lost 114-106 in Game 2 of their first-round playoff series.
They are now in a 2-0 hole, but Games 3 and 4 will be played on their home floor at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
The game was close at the end, but four-time All-Star Draymond Green was ejected for a flagrant 2 foul, and the Kings were able to pull away.
Following the loss, head coach Steve Kerr met with the media.
Kerr: "I thought we were competing. We hit some big shots, Gary hits a corner three to tie it, I think Klay hit a big one on the wing. But they played better than we did down the stretch. I thought they were more physical tonight. It was an incredibly physical game. A lot of physicality, not much movement, not much freedom of movement out there. They were the aggressors, and I thought they benefited from being the aggressors."
De'Aaron Fox led the Kings with 24 points and nine assists, while Steph Curry had 28 points and six assists for the Warriors.
The Warriors continue to struggle on the road this season.
They went 11-30 in 41 road games during the regular season and lost both on the road to the Kings.
That said, they are 33-8 in the 41 games they have hosted on their home floor (and have won the NBA Championship in four out of the previous eight seasons).
Game 3 will take place on Thursday night.
