Memphis Grizzlies' Ja Morant Recently Liked 2 Tweets
Ja Morant is one of the best players in the NBA, and at just 23 years old has already led the Memphis Grizzlies to the Playoffs in each of the last three years and made the All-Star Game twice.
That said, the former Murray State star was suspended by the team last month following a video that went viral on social media.
Since the incident, Morant has been silent on Twitter, and his last tweet was on May 13 (the day before he was suspended).
However, the superstar point guard recently liked two tweets.
Morant liked a video that ClutchPoints posted from Paul George's podcast "Podcast P With Paul George," and he also liked his teammate Desmond Bane's quote tweet of the video.
In the video on George's podcast, Morant's other teammate Jaren Jackson Jr. was talking about the Grizzlies "getting humbled" following their loss in the first round of the NBA Playoffs to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Jackson Jr. via Podcast P With Paul George: "I think getting humbled is the best thing for us. I think It's gonna make us way more hungry. Hungry like we were like three years ago. There was no expectation on anything. We got leveled at the end of the year, so we gotta sit with that all summer. We were done in May, like, ok, like damn, we done in May, we got hella time. I'm watching the other games like really not happy, like tripping. So this is gonna be the best thing for us, we're gonna have that edge, we're gonna come back and we're gonna be so hungry. We're not gonna worry about anything. We're gonna remember that feeling probably all the way up until the Playoffs and we're gonna get it done."
The NBA has yet to announce Morant's suspension, so it's still unclear how long they will be without their best player.
Last year, Morant averaged a sensational 26.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, 8.1 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 46.6% from the field.
