Nikola Jokic Reacts To Nuggets Loss Against Thunder
On Saturday evening, the Denver Nuggets hosted the Oklahoma City Thunder in Colorado.
The Nuggets lost by a score of 118-117, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander made the game-winning shot with less than one second on the clock.
After the game, Nikola Jokic met with the media and gave his reaction to the loss.
The two-time MVP finished his night with 24 points, six rebounds, 12 assists and two steals while shooting 8/15 from the field and 1/2 from the three-point range in 37 minutes of playing time.
Jokic: "It's not supposed to be a close game. We were up 8, I don't know three minutes to go or whatever. Usually, we finish the game really well. But they were attacking the paint; it seems like they were scoring easy, and we didn't score, so that was the difference in the game."
Jokic is now averaging 27.0 points, 12.5 rebounds, 9.5 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 54.1% from the field and 30.9% from the three-point range in 26 games.
With the loss, the Nuggets fell to 17-10 in their first 27 games, which has them as the fourth seed in the Western Conference.
They are 6-4 over their last ten games and will play their next game on Monday evening when they host the Dallas Mavericks.
As for the Thunder, they are 16-8 in their first 24 games, which has them as the second seed in the Western Conference.
They will play their next game on Monday when they host the Memphis Grizzlies.
