On Friday evening, the Golden State Warriors lost Game 6 of their first-round playoff series to the Sacramento Kings by a score of 118-99 on their home floor in San Francisco.

The Warriors had a chance to close out the series, but now there will be a Game 7 on Sunday in Sacramento.

After the game, head coach Steve Kerr met with the media and was honest in his evaluation of the game.

Kerr: "It was a poor night for all of us, including me. We always say: we win together, we lose together. This was a team effort that includes players and coaches. The Kings outplayed us, outcoached us and deserved to win."

The Warriors lost Games 1 and 2 on the road in Sacramento but responded with three straight wins (before losing Friday's game).

While they were able to win Game 5 on the road, the Warriors are just 12-32 in 44 games played away from the Chase Center.

Therefore, they will have to overcome their road struggles to avoid getting eliminated in the first round.

Steph Curry had a game-high 29 points to go with four rebounds, five assists, two steals and one block (he also passed Hakeem Olajuwon on the all-time playoff scoring list).

Meanwhile, the Kings were led by Malik Monk, who had 28 points, seven rebounds, four assists, one steal and two blocks.

The winner of the series will advance to the second round and face off against either the Los Angeles Lakers or the Memphis Grizzlies.
