On Thursday evening, the Washington Wizards will be in Manhattan to face off against Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.  

Before the game, the Wizards made a roster move by recalling a player from the G League.   

Via The Wizards: "Official: We have recalled Johnny Davis from the @CapitalCityGoGo."

Davis was assigned to the G League after Monday's 129-117 loss to the Detroit Pistons. 

He played in Wednesday's (G League) game against Raptors 905 and had three points, two rebounds and one assist while shooting 1/6 from the field and 1/3 from the three-point range in 19 minutes of playing time. 

The 21-year-old was the 11th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft and is in his second season in the league. 

So far this season, Davis is averaging 2.5 points and 1.1 rebounds per contest while shooting 43.8% from the field and 33.3% from the three-point range in 19 games with the Wizards. 

As for the Wizards, they are off to a slow start to the season and are the 14th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 7-32 record in their first 39 games. 

They are 2-8 over their last ten games and 4-18 in the 22 games they have played on the road away from Washington, D.C. 

Following New York, the Wizards will host the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday evening. 

As for the Knicks, they are the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 24-17 record in their first 41 games.
