British GP Results: Charles Leclerc Goes Fastest In FP3 Ahead Of Qualifying

The results for the British GP FP3 session.

The third and final free practice session has come to a close ahead of qualifying for the British Grand Prix later today. Charles Leclerc put in the fastest time followed by Alex Albon and Fernando Alonso who had the second and third fastest times, respectively.

Things turned around for Charles Leclerc after he had to miss FP2 due to issues with his SF-23. The Maranello-based squad worked tirelessly to get the Monegasque driver on track today and although they broke the curfew, they will not receive a penalty as it is the first time they have done it this season.

Williams also found an issue on Alex Albon's FW45 this morning and had to take the car apart. Thankfully, the team were able to get it sorted shortly after the FP3 session began and the British-Thai driver was able to get out on track.

Reports of rain began to intensify just under half way into the session leading many of the drivers to head back to the pits and not risk any damage ahead of qualifying.
