F1: How The British GP Changed The Standings - Success For McLaren And Williams
The British Grand Prix came to a close yesterday with Max Verstappen standing at the top of the podium.
Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton joined the Red Bull driver on the podium in second and third, respectively.
Here is where the championships stand after the British Grand Prix.
Drivers' Standings
Max Verstappen's win has now extended the gap to his Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez to 99 points.
George Russell has now overtaken Charles Leclerc to sit in sixth position with 82 points, just one point behind Carlos Sainz. Similarly, Lando Norris' impressive second-place finish meant that he is now in ninth position in the standings, overtaking Esteban Ocon.
Oscar Piastri celebrated a fourth-place finish at Silverstone moving him up from fourteenth to eleventh ahead of Pierre Gasly. Nico Hulkenberg has unfortunately moved from twelfth to fourteenth due to success of McLaren and Williams.

Constructors' Standings
Red Bull has further extended their lead in the constructors' standings with a gap of 208 points to Mercedes who are in second position.
The top four teams have remained the same after the British Grand Prix. However, beyond that the rest of the grid has seen some significant changes.
McLaren's exciting performance meant that they have overtaken Alpine to sit in fifth position with 59 points. Williams also celebrated an improved weekend which saw them move from ninth in the standings to seventh.
