Renowned host of The Grand Tour, Jeremy Clarkson, made good on a lighthearted Twitter pledge to the Alpine F1 team following their standout performance at the iconic Monaco Grand Prix.

During the race, Clarkson took to social media, promising a round of beers if the team managed to secure a podium finish. His tweet humorously stated:

"Come on @AlpineF1Team I’ll buy you all a pint if you get a podium here."

Esteban Ocon had originally qualified in fourth place. However, thanks to a penalty levied against Charles Leclerc for obstructing Lando Norris in qualifying, Ocon was promoted to start in third. Battling inclement weather for a significant portion of the race, Ocon successfully claimed the third-place spot on the podium, marking his first podium finish of the 2023 season.

Delighted by the outcome, the French team took to their own social media platforms to confirm that Clarkson had indeed delivered on his promise. Accompanying their post were pictures of Clarkson with Ocon, and of the host delivering a trailer full of beer with his co-host from Clarkson's Farm, Kaleb Cooper. The team expressed their gratitude with a simple tweet, "Delivering on his word. Cheers for the beers, @JeremyClarkson".

Always one for a grand entrance, Clarkson, whose Diddly Squat Farm is conveniently located not far from the Alpine team's base in Enstone, arrived in style. True to his flamboyant persona, he delivered the promised beverages in a Lamborghini tractor. It was no surprise to fans that Clarkson chose to gift the team with bottles of his own-brand beer, Hawkstone.

Fans couldn't help but revel in the unexpected yet heartwarming moment, with one even suggesting, "Maybe @JeremyClarkson should get his beer on the Silverstone Podium instead of the massive champagne bottles, the spraying will be short". These playful interactions have only added to the excitement and spirit of the F1 season.
