Esteban Ocon, the Alpine Frenchman, delivered an outstanding performance at the Monaco Grand Prix, bagging P3 in an adrenaline-fueled Sunday afternoon race. Even though he temporarily lost his third position post-pit-stop for intermediate tires, George Russell's error at Mirabeau put Ocon right back into P3. This victory sealed Alpine's first podium finish of the year, and his pride was palpable in his post-race interview.

"Estie Bestie is on the podium baby!" he shouted down the mic out of excitement. "I mean we have done it, it was a superb weekend, from the team from the simulator to now."

His impressive run not only delighted the team but also the fans, who awarded him the coveted 'Driver of the Day'. Ocon, not one to miss a beat, was quick to laud his team for their flawless race strategy.

"We've done the right lap to come in for the inters. In the practice sessions, we improved the car from the beginning to the end. We didn’t make a wrong foot in any time, even when we put the inter tyres it was the lap to do so. Yeah, I’m just enjoying the moment now to be on the podium and I hope this is the first of many.”

Maintaining his composure amid changing conditions, Ocon successfully completed the race without any drama - an achievement he playfully referenced, considering his mishap the previous day.

“I touched the wall enough yesterday, so it is less of a heart attack for the team," he quipped.

Esteban Ocon's triumphant finish at Monaco has undoubtedly set the stage for more exhilarating races to come for the all-French team, and it'll be exciting to see how the rest of the season unfolds.
