F1 fans have been joking at the hilarious moment Charles Leclerc interrupted Ferrari team chief Fred Vasseur whilst he was in a post-race interview following the Italian Grand Prix.

The Monegasque driver could be seen stopping the interview to approach Vasseur and jokingly check his pulse. This came after Leclerc and his teammate Carlos Sainz, who started from pole position, had some incredible battles on track during the latter stages of the race which had the team and spectators on the edge of their seat.

Both Ferrari drivers were battling it out for the third spot on the podium. Sainz managed to secure the position with Leclerc close behind to finish in fourth. However, with some of the nail-bitingly close battles, it could have ended badly for the team.

Footage was quickly shared to social media of the hilarious moment and fans have been going crazy for it since. One fan commented:

"That's adorable. Fred seems to get along with the drivers, at least, what with this interaction and with his shenanigans yesterday with Carlos and his cake."

"The lockup in the last gave me Brazil 2019 flashbacks, thank god they did not take each other out."
