Red Bull have been so dominant this year that they can win the Constructors' Championship seven Grand Prix earlier. Winning every race of the season so far, the Milton Keynes-based outfit can be declared championship winner if a few conditions get fulfilled during the Singapore GP weekend.

With 583 points, Red Bull is 310 points ahead of Mercedes in second place. However, the math dictates that if Red Bull pulls a lead of 353 points or more after the Singapore GP, they can be declared winners.

If you're wondering how I came to the 353 points conclusion, then here's the calculation. After the Singapore GP weekend, the season will have another seven GPs to go, including three sprint races. The total of all those add up to 353 points.

However, for Red Bull to secure the win this weekend, it must be able to win 1-2 to get its share of 43 points. However, the win won't be possible if Mercedes scores points.

The ifs and buts of winning the Constructors' Championship in Singapore

The following permutations and combinations would decide if Red Bull can win in Singapore:

1. If Red Bull wins 1-2 with the fastest lap while Mercedes scores one point or less.

2. If Red Bull wins 1-2 without a fastest lap while Mercedes scores 0 points.

If Max Verstappen or Sergio Perez gets the bonus point for the fastest lap of the race with Mercedes scoring just one point, Red Bull would be declared the winner.

If Mercedes is able to score two points or more this weekend, then Red Bull can't win the championship.

It's funny how Red Bull has to rely on Mercedes to underperform if they want to win the constructors' championship this weekend. But, that is how the Grand Prix math works.

Speaking of cars, Mercedes might have an advantage at the Marina Bay Street Circuit considering how tight and tricky it is, which is well suited to their W14 car as opposed to Red Bull's RB19 which does best on fast circuits. However, nothing can be ruled out since it all comes down to each team's strategy in the end.
