F1 News: How The Canadian GP Changed The Standings - Bad News For AlphaTauri
The standings have changed since the Canadian Grand Prix, the biggest of which has come in the form of bad news for the AlphaTauri team.
Here is a round-up of where the drivers and constructors stand at the moment.
Drivers' Championship
Max Verstappen won the Canadian Grand Prix, bringing in the 100th win for the Red Bull team and further extending his lead in the drivers' standings.
Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton crossed the line in second and third, respectively. As a result the gap to Sergio Perez has closed even further as the two champion's put the pressure on the Mexican driver.
Another stand out performance from the race in Montreal is Alex Albon who took home six points after finishing in seventh, propelling himself up into twelfth position in the standings.

Constructors' Standings
Red Bull has continued its dominant streak of winning every race this season in Canada and are now miles ahead of any of the other teams in the standings. The main difference comes from Albon's performance for Williams, who has now moved from the bottom spot on the leader board.
The bad news is for Alphatauri who are now in the bottom spot with just 2 points. Before the 2023 season started, Red Bull motorsport advisor Helmut Marko explained that the aim for the Italian squad was to come fifth in the constructors' championship, which is looking like a far away goal at the moment.
