F1 News: Kevin Magnussen Out Of British GP As Haas Sets On Fire

Kevin Magnussen is out of the British Grand Prix as his Haas sets on fire.

Kevin Magnussen is out of the British Grand Prix after his Haas ground to a halt on the track with a power unit failure which saw it burst into flames. 

"Lap 33/52: Kevin retires from the race. Smoke coming from the back of his car again as he has to pull over."

Thankfully the Haas driver was absolutely fine and walked away from the car quickly.

The British Grand Prix has not been a good afternoon for the American team with Magnussen's retirement and Nico Hulkenberg running in eighteenth after having to pit early in the race due to damage to his front wing. 

Fans have been calling out the Ferrari power unit, which the Haas cars run off. One fan commented:

"Ferrari power unit. Come on man."

"You guys should get the RBPT engines and start making you own cars. Ferrari isn't that guy anymore."

The safety car gave the other cars an opportunity to pit so when the race resumes it will be lead by Max Verstappen on soft tyres followed by Lando Norris on hard tyres and Lewis Hamilton on soft tyres.
