Lando Norris has revealed that he is "disappointed" with his P3 qualifying result for the Hungarian Grand Prix tomorrow.

The Belgian-British driver felt he had the pace to be able to put his McLaren MCL60 in pole position. Norris bagged himself a second-place finish at the British Grand Prix with his teammate Oscar Piastri crossing the line in fourth position, and with the starting positions of the pair for tomorrow, things seem to be looking up for the Woking-based squad.

During his post-race interview with Sky Sports F1 presenter Danica Patrick, Norris explained:

"A little bit I'm disappointed. If you're doing within a tenth [of a second] of pole, it feels like we should be on pole.

"I guess as an overall picture I'm happy. The team did a good job with P3 and P4 for both of us so a good weekend so far, but as a driver I'm not the happiest. I feel that I made too many mistakes and that cost me today."

When asked what he could have done to improve, Norris responded:

"There's always little things you know, just putting them together. It wasn't the cleanest I guess, there's always an element of risk involved in trying to push a little bit more but nothing major.

"I don't know how much it was between me and anyone but if it's a tenth, there's definitely a tenth in it. So frustrating, but I'm happy to be P3 so is a good position for tomorrow. So still a good day."

Looking ahead to the race tomorrow, Norris explained:

"I'm excited I think the race pace yesterday and on Friday was pretty strong. Just as strong as before we probably were in Silverstone so I'm excited just a difficult track to overtake which is probably why I'm a bit more frustrated than I normally would be."
