Footage has been released of Max Verstappen and Fernando Alonso hurrying the Monaco Grand Prix drivers' press conference along as they wanted to see the start of the Indy 500.

Esteban Ocon is in the process of being asked a question from the press about whether he is envious of his previous teammate Alonso having such great success so far this year. However, during the question, Verstappen and Alonso can be seen talking to each other trying to work out how long it is until the start of the Indy 500 which was shown after the Grand Prix.

Sharing the moment to Reddit, one fan posted:

Fans were joking about the moment saying that it could have been an expert decoy method to get Ocon out of the question, whilst others found it hilarious that Verstappen was so focussed on watching more racing.

One fan commented:

"That guy lives for four things. Racing. Watching racing. Sim racing and teaparties with P. I actually would love Max to say during a press conference 'Sorry. Tea party in 5 with P. Gotta go.'"

Another fan noticed that the two-time champion was absent from the Red Bull Monaco GP pool celebrations and wondered if it was because he was too busy watching the Indy 500. They responded:

"That is so Max that I am not even surprised. Is this why he wasn't in the Monaco pool celebrations? Cuz he was watching Indy 500?

"This guy is unbelievable lol."

Someone else wrote:

"This man is all racing. Racing as a profession, racing as a hobby, racing as his entertainment of choice."

Another fan posted:

"I'd like to think that Max was being a bro and partially did that on purpose so Esteban could conveniently "forget" the question.

"I say partially because I assume that Max was also genuinely wanting to watch the Indy 500."
