F1 News: Mercedes Tease A Turquoise W14 And Fans Are Going Mad Over It

Mercedes fans are going crazy for the W14 livery teasers.

Mercedes are set to unveil the W14 livery this week and have been teasing the colour scheme for a couple of weeks. Now, the team have led fans to believe their 2023 contender will sport a turquoise livery. 

Posting to social media, the team shared a video of the camera lens being painted Petronas turquoise.

Fans have been hoping for a livery change on the W14 with many calling for the team to return to the all-black livery from the 2021 season. Since the latest FIA ruling which prohibits F1 drivers from making any personal, religious, or political statements, fans have argued that the all-black livery would make a statement. 

After the turquoise tease, fans were quick to share their thoughts in the comments. One wrote:

"Ok, but hear me out just for a second. A green Mercedes would be AWESOME !"

Another fan commented on the various different teases we have seen recently. They responded:

"Merc admin is literally responding to all questions about colours with : 'Well yes, but actually no'"

The Brackley-based team will be unveiling the Mercedes W14 livery on Wednesday 15 February, ahead of the 2023 season which begins with the Bahrain Grand Prix on 3-5 March.
