After taking his eighth win of the first ten races of the 2023 F1 season at the British Grand Prix, Max Verstappen confirmed that Red Bull will be bringing upgrades to the Hungarian GP next week. And, it has now been reported that the dominant RB19 should be two-tenths faster with the upgrades.

According to a video by Auto Motor und Sport, the RB19 will sport newly designed sidepods and bodywork which is anticipated to make them even more competitive, not that they needed it. The article also suggests that there will be more upgrades to come for the RB19.

Fans have been taking to social media to discuss the potential new features, with some joking that the Austrian team could bring in a zero sidepod design which Mercedes infamously brought to their 2022 and earlier 2023 cars before upgrading the W14 to feature sidepods.

One fan commented:

"If they bring the zero pods sides pods and make it work we're going to see flamesssssa" [sic]

Another fan commented sarcastically that Red Bull's chief technical officer, Adrian Newey, made the zero sidepod design work. They wrote:

"Newey made the no sidepod concept work didn’t he"

Newey is one of the most incredible minds in the sport and is a huge part in making the RB19 so dominant, with Red Bull winning every race of the 2023 season so far. So, it is no surprise that a lot of fans were of the opinion that if anyone can make the zero sidepod design work, it's him.

"It would be insane if it happens but if anyone can make zero-pod work it's Newey"
