Alfa Romeo driver Zhou Guanyu has been forced to retire from the Dutch Grand Prix after crashing into the race wall at Turn 1.

Heavy rain began to fall again with roughly ten laps to go of the race in Zandvoort. As the track gathered some surface water, Guanyu lost control at Turn 1 and collided with the race wall. Thankfully, the Chinese driver quickly confirmed to his team that he was okay.
