It was a battle of the titans at the Baku City Circuit, with Max Verstappen and George Russell locking horns in a fiery confrontation. Verstappen was left fuming after Russell left a gaping hole in his RB19 during the sprint race, prompting a verbal showdown between the two drivers. Now, the Dutch driver hasn't backed down, calling Russell a "princess" over his previous comments.

Verstappen called Russell a "d**khead", and while we don't condone such language, we can't deny that it made for some spicy post-race drama. Russell, on the other hand, pointed the finger at his cold tyres, which only added fuel to the fire.

Verstappen was having none of it, and he fired back at Russell, accusing him of being "churlish". He also took issue with Russell's suggestion that he wouldn't just let someone pass him because he's Max Verstappen. "And that's not allowed because Princess George is sitting there?" Verstappen quipped.

But the Dutchman wasn't finished yet. He vehemently disagreed with the idea that he would have done the same thing to Russell if the roles were reversed. "Oh yes, I would have driven him full into his sidepod of course. Really smart," Verstappen said sarcastically.

It's clear that they both have a healthy competitive spirit, and it will be interesting to see if this translates to a more dramatic Grand Prix tomorrow with Max Verstappen qualifying P2 and Russell P11, it's unlikely they'll fight with each other, but it's safe to say that the tight circuit of Baku has squeezed some heat out of the drivers as they continue through this eventful racing weekend.
