The Mercedes F1 team have confirmed a new multi-year partnership with Nuvei ahead of the 2023 season.

Taking to social media to confirm the news, the Brackley-based squad wrote:

"A leading payment technology partner of the world's leading brands. Welcome to the Mercedes family"

Team principal and CEO Toto Wolff has said in a statement about the multi-year partnership with the Canadian company:

“We’re thrilled to welcome Nuvei as a long-term partner in time for the start of the 2023 Formula One™ season. Nuvei has a reputation as a leader in its field with a global footprint.

"It’s dedication to performance excellence through innovation aligns with our values, so we’re looking forward to a successful period working closely together as we share the Nuvei brand with our global audience and find more similarities between our approaches to success.”

Mercedes CCO, Richard Sanders, has also released a statement which reads:

“We are delighted to announce our new partnership with Nuvei ahead of the start of the season and welcome them into our partner ecosystem.

"Fintech is a burgeoning industry and it’s exciting to be able to partner with one of the leading payment technology companies in this space. Our shared values provide the platform on which we are excited to build a successful, long-term partnership.”

The Nuvei branding will appear on the Mercedes team gear and helmets of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell. According to the team:

"Nuvei branding will be unveiled at the Team’s 2023 F1 car launch later this week."

The team will be unveiling the W14 on Wednesday 15 February at an event that is expected to include Hamilton, Russell, and Wolff. It is currently unclear as to whether their new reserve driver Mick Schumacher will feature at the event.
