What F1 Fans Should Expect From The Alpine A523 Car Reveal

The Alpine A523 will be unveiled at an event in London.

The Alpine F1 team is set to reveal their 2023 contender, the A523 later today during an event in London at 8pm GMT.

Here's what we know so far about the last reveal ahead of the 2023 season.

How Will The A523 Be Revealed?

The reveal, which is set to be hosted by radio presenter Vick Hope, will be streamed live on the teams YouTube page. Alpine CEO Laurent Rossi will make an appearance at the event alongside the new driver line-up Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly.

Sneak Peek

The French team shared a sneak peek of the A523 ahead of the launch event. The close-up photo shows the bright blue livery with a white Alpine logo over the top, and some exposed carbon fibre around the edges.

Exposed carbon fibre has been a theme that that has been seen throughout all of the car launches as the teams aim to reduce the weight of the cars.

There have also been spy shots released of an Alpine doing a shakedown at the Silverstone track which many believe is the A523, however, this has not been confirmed.

What To Expect From Alpine In 2023

Alpine are heading into the upcoming 2023 season as an all-French line-up after they parted ways with Fernando Alonso and brought on Pierre Gasly from AlphaTauri. The team were the "best of the rest" in 2022 coming fourth in the constructors' championship with 173 points, ahead of McLaren with 159.

The team will be looking to close the gap to the top three, Mercedes, Red Bull, and Ferrari, whilst keeping the rest of the teams at bay. With Haas and Williams gaining significant sponsorship deals, they are now able to spend either the full budget or close to it, the other teams will need to keep an eye out for them.
