There's no doubt that Woman's Professional Rodeo Association's Brittany Tonozzi has had a year full of amazing achievements.

Earlier this season she crossed the $3 million mark. This exclusive feat has been reached by only two other barrel racers, Lisa Lockhart and Sherry Cervi.

Tonozzi has set multiple arena records throughout this season and took home first place at many rodeos, including last weekend at the Cowboy Capital Pro Rodeo in Stephenville, Texas.

Last night at the Governor's Cup Tonozzi was last on the ground, not the ideal position with 11 others ruts laying before her. Tonozzi didn't hesitate, aboard the stallion SR Industry Titan, the team turned in a time of 13.95, splitting the first place position with Emily Beisel and both taking home $8,750.

With a total of $249,563 in earnings thus far in the 2023 rodeo season, Tonozzi surpassed the record for season earnings after last nights win.

Previously holding that record was Tiany Schuster with a total $250,378.

Already sitting in the top spot in the world for barrel racing earnings, Tonozzi has solidified her 17th qualification for the National Finals Rodeo.

Tonozzi has two more chances at the prize money at the Governor's Cup in round two as well as in the final round Saturday if she qualifies.

Tonight the barrel racers will run in reverse order, opposite of round 1. Tonozzi will be the first one to run down the alley this evening, anticipating another fast time to set her up for a good spot in the average.

Tonozzi needs to be in the top-eight in the aggregate to move on to a clean slate round. The top-four from that round will then move on to the final round on Saturday for a chance at the $25,000 first place payout.
