Basketball fans and sneakerheads were treated to a surprise early Saturday morning. Adidas officially unveiled the signature logo for Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards. Let us be the first to say it is an absolute classic design.

At some point during the 2023-24 NBA season, Edwards will debut his first signature sneaker. While we do not know what the adidas AE1 will look like yet, we know the brand is off to a great start with Edwards' signature logo.

Adidas posted a brief video of a pink Porsche driving through Edwards' hometown of Atlanta, Georgia, on its social media accounts. The brightly-colored car featured adidas and Edwards logos. Check out the video below for a closer look.

Edwards' triangle-shaped logo checks all the boxes. It is easy to infer his initials "A" and "E" at first glance. Plus, his nickname "Ant" inspired the ant hill design. In a time when so many brands across every industry (especially in sneakers and sports) are opting for a minimalist approach, fans can always count on adidas to go big.

Athletes and fans must wait a little bit longer to learn more about the adidas AE1, as there is no official release date, images, or pricing at this time. However, adidas is off to an excellent start with today's splash announcement. The new NBA season is almost here, so stay locked into FanNationKicks.com for all your sneaker news.

Update

At an adidas event on Saturday afternoon, Anthony Edwards debuted his first signature sneaker. Fans got the first real look at the adidas AE1 in a pink and black colorway. Official tech specs, release dates, and pricing have not yet been announced.
