Austin Reaves' Signature Shoes Drop in Ice Cream Colorway
It is difficult to quantify the number of challenges and perks that come with playing for the Los Angeles Lakers. Playing for the most prestigious team in the sport means added pressure but also fast-tracks players to fame and fortune.
Look no further than undrafted guard Austin Reaves. After just two seasons in the league, Reaves has signed a four-year, $56 million contract with Los Angeles and inked a seven-figure signature sneaker deal with the Chinese brand Rigorer.
Reaves will officially debut his first signature sneaker, the Rigorer AR1, on the court at the start of the 2023-24 NBA season. However, some lucky fans will get their hands on the hoop shoes much sooner than that. Below is what sneakerheads must know about the exclusive sneaker release.
Rigorer AR1
Reaves’ first signature sneaker is scheduled to launch in an 'Ice Cream' colorway on August 11 at noon Eastern Standard Time. Only 2,000 pairs of the sneakers will be produced worldwide, and fans can purchase them for $100 in adult sizes at KICKS CREW and on the Rigorer website.
Loyal Lakers fans and dedicated sneakerheads are encouraged to follow the instructions on the KICKS CREW website to increase their chances of copping the kicks. Additionally, five lucky shoppers will receive the Rigorer AR1 'Ice Cream' in an exclusive box set.
"From growing up in Arkansas and being undrafted to now having my own signature shoe, this is a surreal moment for me. Working closely with the design team, the AR1 is all about maximizing performance and efficiency on the court. The AR1 not only matches my all-around game but is also adaptable to all players." - Austin Reaves
We still do not know much about the tech specs of the unreleased basketball shoes. However, the Reaves and Rigorer have already made a huge splash with the initial colorway scheduled to release. Stay locked into FanNation Kicks for all your footwear coverage.
