Devin Booker's Signature Nike Sneaker Launching in 2023

More details reported about Devin Booker's upcoming signature sneaker with Nike.
In this story:

It has been a pivotal year in the sneaker industry. We have seen powerful partnerships dissolve, sneaker lines end, and NBA players launch new signature lines. The latest development involves Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker.

After months of speculation, new reporting indicates that Booker's signature line with Nike is scheduled to launch in Holiday 2023. The first model will be called the Nike Book 1 and release for $150 in a 'Clay Orange' colorway.

This report comes from the website Sole Retriever. This is the same outlet that broke the news of Ja Morant and Jayson Tatum's signature sneakers several months before their official release date, as well as many other significant developments in the sneaker world.

Everything about the timing for the launch of Booker's signature sneaker makes sense. With the Nike Book 1 scheduled to launch in late 2023, it coincides with the holiday season and the NBA's first-ever In-Season Tournament.

It is also unsurprising that Booker's first shoe launch in a 'Clay Orange' colorway stemming from Phoenix's uniforms. However, the $150 price tag is far more expensive than other new signature lines from the Nike and Jordan Brand family.

Morant, Tatum, Zion Williamson, and Luka Doncic all have launched signature lines over the past two years that retail below $130. It is safe to assume that Booker's shoe will feature some of Nike's best technology.

Booker has been a fan of the legendary sneaker line of Kobe Bryant. The 26-year-old is an acolyte of the NBA legend. In addition to getting a tattoo memorializing his mentor, he also received several player-exclusive colorways from the Nike Kobe line (some of which were released to the public).

Now that Morant and Booker will both have a signature line, it marks the end of an era for Nike Basketball. The two rising stars will replace Kyrie Irving and Paul George, who both saw their signature lines come to an end this season (albeit under very different circumstances).

This year will always be remembered for being an era of change in the sneaker industry, and Booker will be a part of that movement. Stay locked into FanNationKicks.com for all your footwear coverage.
