LeBron James Leads Lakers to Victory in Retro Shoes

LeBron James led the Lakers to victory while wearing the Nike LeBron 2 Retro.

While the NBA continues to evolve and create new stars rapidly, some things never change. On Friday night, LeBron James helped lead the Los Angeles Lakers to victory over the Memphis Grizzlies.

The 38-year-old phenom scored an efficient 22 points en route to eliminating Memphis. While James has debuted two models this season, it was fitting that he wore a pair of his retro sneakers during his vintage performance.

Throughout this season, James has celebrated two decades with Nike. As part of the historic milestone, the league's all-time leading scorer has brought the heat with his sneakers every single night.

Last night, James wore his second signature sneaker in a somewhat bittersweet colorway. It was the same model and colorway James wore during the disappointing 2004 Olympics. Below is what fans must know about the retro hoop shoes.

The Nike LeBron 2 Retro 'USA' was released on October 25, 2022, for $210 in adult sizes. The colorway is almost an exact replica of the original shoes that dropped in 2004.

The 'USA' colorway features a navy ballistic mesh contrasted by white leather overlays. The laser-etched graphics and red accents help complete the patriotic colorway. Meanwhile, the heavy-duty shoes contain ample cushioning thanks to the Zoom Air units in the forefoot and heel.

The Nike LeBron 2 Retro 'USA' has sold out online and can only be found at above retail price on sneaker resale websites. However, fans can find several models from James' signature line marked down on the Nike website.

Now that the Lakers have punched their ticket for the Western Conference Semifinals, it means fans get to see even more sneakers from James. Stay locked into FanNationKicks.com for all your shoe news.
