The old marketing campaign was true. The NBA is where amazing happens. Look no further than Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Boston Celtics. Before tip-off, 76ers guard James Harden spent time with a fan he had invited to the game.

John Hao was paralyzed in the Michigan State shooting and has been recovering for the last few months. According to ESPN, Hao had become friends with Harden since February, when the All-Star guard reached out with sneakers, financial support, and words of encouragement.

Fast forward a few hours, and Harden sunk a game-winning three-pointer to send the home crowd happy. But not before Harden and Hao reunited to celebrate on the court.

Harden quickly removed his game-worn adidas shoes and began autographing them for Hao. Harden told ESPN's Cassidy Hubbarth, "I had a special guest today in the building. He gave me good vibes, and winning this game was for him."

Throughout this season, Harden has worn his seventh signature sneaker - the adidas Harden Vol. 7. The performance basketball shoes launched in March 2023 for $160 in adult sizes and are available in multiple colorways on the adidas website.

Taking cues from his play style and personality, Harden's newest shoes feature a textile designed to look like his puffer jackets. The cushioning is provided by a hybrid BOOST and Lightstrike midsole that offers lightweight energy.

Harden has proven over the years that he is not only a great player but an exceptional man. It's always good when fans and sneakerheads can support a player who does so much off the court. Meanwhile, Hao has shown tremendous strength and resolve. Hopefully, he brings "good vibes" to more 76ers games this postseason.
