Jay-Z & Blue Ivy Rock Puma, Air Jordans at Super Bowl
There has been a lot to unpack from NFL Super Bowl LVII - the game, halftime show, and all the incredible footwear in the stadium. One of our favorite moments from the big game was watching rap legend Jay-Z spend time with his daughter Blue Ivy on the field.
The internet especially enjoyed the videos of Jay-Z acting as Blue Ivy's personal photographer before the game. Naturally, fans of our country's royal family wanted to know what sneakers they had on their feet last night in Phoenix, Arizona.
While Beyoncé is in business with adidas, Jay-Z has a long history with Puma, and Blue Ivy appears to be a fan of classic Air Jordan sneakers. That is elite levels of diversifying your business and sneaker portfolios.
Unfortunately, we did not see Beyoncé at the game. However, below we have everything fans must know about the kicks worn by Jay-Z and Blue Ivy.
Puma Ralph Sampson Lo
Jay-Z wore the Puma Ralph Sampson Lo sneaker in the 'White Peacoat' colorway. The old-school hoop shoes were released in March 2015 for $90. The shoes are still available in some sizes on sneaker resale websites. Also, Puma has several similar options on its website.
The Puma Ralph Sampson Lo was a staple in 1980s basketball footwear. The low-cut shoe may have aged out of the performance basketball market, but its sleek appeal remains timeless for lifestyle use.
Air Jordan 1
While Jay-Z went with low-key sneakers, Blue Ivy made a statement with her kicks. She wore the Air Jordan 1 High in the 'Lost & Found' colorway. The shoes were released in November 2022 for $180 in adult sizes.
However, the highly-anticipated shoes sold out shortly after their release, and the resale value has gone through the roof. According to StockX, the average resale price is now $420 in adult sizes.
The Air Jordan 1 High 'Lost & Found' colorway is essentially the OG 'Chicago' colorway but with an aged aesthetic. Every detail of the sneaker, down to the box they were packaged in, was designed to look like shoes that have survived since the mid-1980s.
Jay-Z and Blue Ivy crushed it with their footwear. Also, Beyoncé's recent collaboration with adidas was equally impressive. We cannot wait until the next major sporting event to see what shoes America's royal family decides to wear.
