KICKS CREW Has Andrew Wiggins' Peak Basketball Shoes
The number of NBA players with their own signature sneaker lines is proliferating. This phenomenon is occurring at the same time as the sneaker industry becoming more globalized than ever.
Even though it's never been easier to purchase shoes, some brands have trouble reaching sneakerheads in the United States. Luckily, that's where our friends at KICKS CREW come in.
Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard invested in KICKS CREW, and the company is quickly expanding in the sneaker space. KICKS CREW is the same platform that offered online shoppers exclusive access to shoes worn by Kyrie Irving, Jimmy Butler, and Austin Reaves.
Now they are back with another installment of Andrew Wiggins' signature sneaker line. The Golden State Warriors small forward wore the Peak AW1 throughout the 2022-23 NBA season. But it's the Peak Memic Andrew Wiggins that has caught our attention.
Peak Mimic Andrew Wiggins
There are currently 20 styles of Wiggins' signature sneakers available on the KICKS CREW website. The Mimic series is available in three colorways starting at $118 in adult sizes.
Wiggins' new sneakers sport a futuristic design with minimal branding and a sleek silhouette. According to Peak, the shoes "blur the boundary between sports and life, integrate the 'universe wormhole concept,' and upgrade the wearing experience of shoes."
The mimic series features a large-area KPU integrated injection for impact protection. At the same time, sock design details on the inside make it easy to wear and remove to reduce friction and irritation. Lastly, like a space vehicle, the arc midsole shape feels like walking on clouds.
