LeBron James Debuts New Shoes in Lakers Loss

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James wore new Nike shoes on his return from injury.

There has been a lot of discussion about the feet of LeBron James over the past month. The 19x NBA All-Star missed 13 games since suffering a tendon injury in his right foot that threatened his season.

However, James overcame the odds again and found his way back on the court on Sunday night. The Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Chicago Bulls, but all eyes were on the feet of the league's all-time leading scorer.

James came off the bench to provide 19 points and eight rebounds in a newly-released pair of Nike shoes. The 2022-23 NBA season marks James' 20th year with the Swoosh, and both parties have lived up to their lofty expectations.

James has worn an impressive mix of new and retro shoes throughout the season from his signature line. As of late, James has worn the Nike LeBron NXXT Gen, which is essentially the more affordable option of the Nike LeBron 20. Below is what fans must know about last night's kicks.

During last night's game, James wore the Nike LeBron NXXT Gen in the '1984' colorway. The shoes were released on March 16 and are still available for $160 in adult sizes on the Nike website.

The Wolf Grey upper consists of an open-hole mesh that is lightweight and durable. Contrast is provided by the Pink Spell rubber outsole that contains a traction pattern resembling a map of Akron, Ohio—meanwhile, the metallic Swoosh logos cap off the eye-catching colorway.

The Nike LeBron NXXT Gen is built for any hooper who wants to feel faster and lower on the court. Now that James is back in action, Lakers fans can expect more wins and plenty of heat on the feet of James.
