The 2023 NCAA Tournament has been enthralling in both the men's and women's brackets. One of the most exciting programs to follow has been the Miami Hurricanes. Both of the school's teams advanced to the Sweet 16 and show no signs of slowing down.

While Canes fans are ready to celebrate, it appears that adidas is lagging behind. On Thursday night, the official Miami Hurricanes Women's Basketball Twitter account shared pictures of the gear they received from the German company, and fans were not happy.

It appears that the players received some pretty generic gear to mark the biggest moment in the program's history. The images show all-white adidas Forum Low shoes alongside monochromatic white and orange sweatpants and jackets.

The shoes cost $100 in adult sizes on the adidas website, and it is safe to assume the unbranded apparel is reasonably priced as well. This comes at the same time as Nike and Jordan Brand schools receiving player-exclusive colorways or rare sneakers to wear in the Big Dance.

To be fair to adidas, they have done a great job with their uniforms and performance gear. While other brands have embraced minimalist designs, adidas has gone bold on the court. That is why these swag bags sent to Coral Gables are so sad.

Miami was with Nike before signing a 12-year with adidas in 2015. According to ESPN, the sponsorship deal runs through June 30, 2027. Meanwhile, the Florida Gators wear Jordan Brand, and the Florida State Seminoles rock Nike. Adidas must step up its game if the brand wants to compete with other rivals in the Sunshine State.
