LeBron James Makes Statement in Nike Terminator Sneakers
The Los Angeles Lakers have defied the odds this season. Los Angeles has clinched a postseason birth despite dealing with injuries and roster changes. LeBron James did not play in Friday night's win over the Phoenix Suns, but that did not stop the 19x NBA All-Star from making a statement.
James entered Crypto.com Arena last night wearing Nike Terminator High sneakers and a Carhartt WIP x Awake NY Teddy Jacket. The league's all-time leading scorer posted a picture of his tunnel outfit on Instagram with a bold message.
James captioned his post by saying, "When I'm finished, I'ma keep a tennis shoe on y'all throat. Just in case you mention in a interview you want smoke!" The quote is from a Benny the Butcher song, but it matched James' overall aesthetic to the tee.
James' jacket is sold out online but had an original retail price of $665 on the Carhartt website. Luckily for fans, his Nike Terminator High sneakers are far more affordable. Online shoppers can purchase the shoes for $125 on the Nike website.
Nike Terminator High
James' affinity for old-school sneakers is well-documented. In addition to having one of the best signature lines of all time, James likes to show love for classic models such as the Nike Terminator High.
The iconic sneaker debuted in 1985 as Nike's first signature school shoe. The 'Noble Green' colorway features a crisp white leather upper with green overlays and retro Nike branding.
It is a bold shoe that matches James' strong statement. But then again, fans should expect nothing less from arguably the greatest player of all time. With the postseason starting next week, it's safe for fans to expect more vintage performances by 'King James.'
