Marvin Harrison Jr. Shines In LeBron James' Nike Cleats
Anyone doubting the Ohio State Buckeyes can put their fears to bed after today's game against the Maryland Terrapins. Ohio State handed Maryland their first loss of the college football season and looked good doing it.
Buckeyes wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. caught eight receptions for 163 yards and a touchdown. Harrison Jr. put together his impressive performance in a pair of Nike cleats inspired by LeBron James' retro basketball shoes. This all coincided with James' youngest son, Bryce, in Columbus for an official recruiting visit.
Thanks to the Buckeyes' social media team, sneakerheads were treated to crystal-clear images of Harrison Jr.'s cleats. The All-American wide receiver wore the Nike LeBron 4 Vapor Edge cleats in a black and anthracite colorway. Originally designed for the hardwood, the model has been reimagined as a football cleat for the gridiron.
The reign of "King James" extends throughout the NCAA, as other players like Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams wore his cleats last week. James is in the twilight of his playing career, but his signature line with Nike shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
Unfortunately for athletes, James' cleats have not been released to the public. The silver lining is fans can shop the official LeBron James collection on Nike's website. Stay tuned to FanNationKicks.com for all your footwear news from the sports world.
