Every night of the NBA calendar is a competition among players and their respective sneaker brands. There are more performance apparel companies than ever before, and many international brands are making great gains on the world's biggest stage.

After weeks of rumors, Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic officially debuted his newest sneaker brand. Jokic has signed a multi-year signature shoe deal with the Chinese brand 361°. He debuted an unreleased high-top model in Denver's 113-104 win over the Toronto Raptors.

Jokic is expected to become the new face of the brand that already represents his teammate, Aaron Gordon. Until last night, Jokic had played in Nike basketball shoes throughout his professional career. However, the reigning NBA Finals MVP never received a signature sneaker line with Nike.

Just as Jokic shook up the sneaker landscape by leaving the Swoosh, last year's regular season MVP could also be on the move. Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid made headlines earlier this fall when news broke that he was on the verge of leaving Under Armour for Skechers.

The hardwood floors of the NBA are where sneakers take on new meaning and become integral parts of sports history. Starting last night, the best player in the league shifted the balance of power in the industry. Stay locked into FanNationKicks.com for all your footwear news.
