Russell Westbrook Represents UCLA in Clippers Game

Russell Westbrook showed love to the UCLA Bruins during Los Angeles Clippers game.

There are few basketball players as polarizing as Russell Westbrook. The 9x NBA All-Star plays with a level of tenacity that rubs many people the wrong way. But no one can deny they want a teammate that tries as hard as Westbrook.

The Long Beach native is a hoops legend in Southern California. During last night's game between the Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors, Westbrook debuted a new colorway of his Jordan Brand shoes.

Westbrook debuted the Jordan One Take 4 in a blue and gold player-exclusive colorway designed to pay homage to the UCLA Bruins. Westbrook has a signature sneaker line (known as the "Why Not" series) as well as a more affordable secondary line (called the "One Take" series).

Unfortunately, the kicks Westbrook wore during last night's game will never release to the public. Chalk it up as one of the many perks of being Westbrook or playing for the Bruins basketball team. Luckily, Jordan Brand has plenty of other options available to fans.

Athletes and sneakerheads can choose between different models and colorways of Westbrook's basketball shoes on Nike's website. Even better, some of the shoes are being sold at a discounted price in select sizes and colorways.

The Jordan One Take 4 is built for explosive players like Westbrook. The model features a top-loaded Zoom Air Unit in the forefoot with a midfoot plate that runs through the shoe for added stability.

Similarly, the Jordan Why Not .6 features a large-volume forefoot Zoom Air unit with a midfoot plate. However, the shoe's upper is constructed with synthetic leather with an airy ripstop support and breathability.

Whether you plan to hoop in Westbrook's shoes or wear them casually, there are no wrong options. Jordan Brand designed the kicks to excel on the court and catch eyes off the court. With the Clippers and Bruins preparing to make deep postseason runs this spring, now is the perfect time to purchase a pair of Westbrook's shoes.
