We are not even out of the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup Group Stage, and our nerves are already fried. Luckily, the USWNT is built way different than us. That is one of the many reasons why Nike has honored the squad with a new running shoe.

The Nike Pegasus 40 'USWNT' has all the premium detailing of a player-exclusive colorway, except the Swoosh has let fans get access to the patriotic kicks. Below is what soccer fans, athletes, and sneakerheads must know about the newly-released Nike Pegasus 40 'USWNT.'

The Nike Pegasus 40 'USWNT' was released on June 29, 2023. Online shoppers can still purchase the shoes for $140 in most adult sizes on the Nike website. Given the price tag, the running shoes should qualify for free shipping for Nike members.

Nike pulled out all the stops on the 'USWNT' colorway. The design team dressed the highly tuned single-layer mesh upper in Loyal Blue, contrasted by Hyper Red eyelets and insoles, while the White Swoosh logo and midsole provide the shoe's foundation.

Hyper Blue laces add an extra level of pop leading up to the shoe's tongues which sport four stars and the Swoosh logo. Lastly, the team's USA shield logo appears on the back heel.

The Nike Pegasus line is the brand's most recognizable running silhouette. Although it has changed many times over the past four decades, the Nike Pegasus 40 is the best iteration of the shoe yet.

The performance running shoe is neutrally-balanced and highly responsive. The combination of Nike React technology in the foam with two Zoom Air units (one in the forefoot and the heel) results in a comfortable, responsive ride. Most importantly, durability is not a concern as the waffle-inspired rubber outsole pattern provides traction for the road.

With the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup just getting started, now is a great time to show your support for the team and country by rocking some Nike Pegasus 40 running shoes. Stay locked into FanNation Kicks for all your footwear news.
